I can't believe that we are in a new year... we are already in February... Crazy!!
This year has gone off with a bang for Rebecca Kate Makeup Artistry... lots of weddings and portfolio shoots happened in January and it was just a pleasure meeting so many new faces.
This new chapter in my makeup world is exciting, I am happy to be a part of an amazing project with Willow Tree Creative Services that is doing a dream wedding giveaway to a deserving couple getting married that has experienced hardship. Being a part of this giveaway has allowed me to feel as though I can give back in what sometimes can be a very superficial industry and the other company owners and vendors such as hairstylists, photographers, etc are simply amazing.
I feel like I have been given a gift too. Working alongside such creative, lovely people who are passionate and genuine and LOVE what they do.
I have been doing alot of km's up and down the east coast line and loving it!! I have been a busy little makeup bee doing the work and hope to try and get on here more often this year! That is one of my goals for 2011. I will be loading more photos of my work for you all to see!
Alot of clients and people in general ask me if I do makeup lessons and the answer is yes! They are such a gorgeous way to spend a Saturday arvo with a bunch of girls you love, a glass of wine, some good food and your own pro makeup artist giving away all her trade secrets and showing you how to get the best from your products and tools. Most girls then go hit the town and feel fabulous and look great too!! (Tip: a perfect way to do a bridal makeup trial with your bridesmaids etc)
Makeup is one of those things in life that can give you an instant pick me up.. a tinted moisturiser can do the trick even.. just to give you a little more glow or make you look dewy and fresh.. don't under estimate the power of a good foundation brush and some good quality products!!!

Hello friends,
I have been getting lots of requests lately about travelling to locations outside the Brisbane CBD. The wonderful part of having a mobile freelance makeup artist for an event is that I can come to you no matter where it is that you are getting ready.
I love weddings. What an incredible day to be a part of. If you are wanting to stay somewhere and get ready at that location, you should be able to do that knowing that everyone will come to you. That's the way it should be too!
It's such a special way to start the most amazing day of your life with family and friends.
I will come to you. Give me a call and let me take care of all those things you shouldn't have to worry about! As they say you just 'sit back and relax'!!
